i dont know why theres this big hobsesan with MLP. if it just suddenly happend or its somehow gotten more popular over time. sure seemd to be like over night to me. what ever i guis. if this is what people are into now. nice drawing.

It's just because the girl who created power puff girls brought MLP back with her style and it exploded in popularity. It's like a cross of two things that were already popular as one new thing.

Actually Craig McCracken created the Powerpuff Girls, the girl who bought back the new MLP was just wrote episodes of the Powerpuff Girls.
